& Terms of Use

Welcome to the Citrus Health Network website ("Website"). By accessing or using this Website, you agree to the terms outlined below. If you do not agree with these Terms of Use or our Privacy Policy, please discontinue use of this Website.

PRIVACY POLICY & TERMS OF USE

Scope

Citrus Health Network, Inc. (“Citrus Health Network,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Website Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information obtained through www.citrushealth.org and related website communications.

This Website Privacy Policy applies to the public-facing Website and the email and text-message communications described below. It does not replace Citrus Health Network’s HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices and does not govern medical records or other protected health information created or maintained in connection with healthcare services.

Information You Provide

Citrus Health Network collects an email address when an individual voluntarily signs up through the Website to receive information about volunteer opportunities, community-support activities, or other ways to help our organization.

We use the email address to provide the requested communications and manage the individual’s signup. Please do not submit medical, treatment, prescription, billing, or other sensitive information through a general website signup form or ordinary email.

Mobile phone numbers and text-message consent information may be collected separately through Citrus Pharmacy or another authorized interaction with Citrus Health Network. Pharmacy SMS enrollment does not occur through the general website email-signup form unless specifically stated at the point of collection.

When you visit the Website, Squarespace and approved service providers may automatically process limited technical information, including:

  • IP address

  • Browser and device type

  • Operating system

  • Pages viewed and links selected

  • Referring website

  • Date and time of access

  • Cookie identifiers and similar technical data

This information is used to operate and secure the Website and, where you permit optional analytics cookies, understand Website usage and improve performance.

How We Use Information

We may use information collected through the Website and related communications to:

  • Provide communications you requested

We may disclose information to contracted service providers that help us host the Website, manage email subscriptions, deliver text messages, provide analytics, maintain security, or perform other services on our behalf. These providers may use information only for authorized services and must protect it appropriately.

We may also disclose information:

  • To investigate fraud, security incidents, or misuse

  • To protect legal rights, safety, or property

Email Communications

You may unsubscribe from nonessential email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the email or by contacting Citrus Health Network.

We may retain limited records necessary to document an unsubscribe request and ensure that the preference is honored.

Text-Messaging Privacy

Citrus Health Network may offer patients, clients, caregivers, applicants, and other individuals the option to receive text messages. Messages may include prescription notifications, appointment reminders, billing notifications, care-coordination messages, account notifications, and other service-related communications.

Participation is voluntary and is not required to receive healthcare services. Citrus Health Network limits the information included in text messages and uses reasonable safeguards to protect privacy. Because ordinary SMS and RCS messages are not fully secure, recipients should not send sensitive medical information by text unless specifically instructed to use an approved secure method.

Health Information and HIPAA

This Website Privacy Policy does not replace Citrus Health Network’s HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Protected health information collected in connection with treatment, payment, healthcare operations, pharmacy services, or other regulated activities is handled under applicable law and the Notice of Privacy Practices.

The general Website signup form should not be used to request medical advice, discuss treatment, refill prescriptions, schedule care, or transmit protected health information. Please use an approved patient communication method or contact Citrus Health Network by telephone.

Children’s Privacy

The general Website signup form is not intended to collect personal information directly from children under 13. Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the Website without the involvement of a parent or legal guardian.

Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and satisfy legal, regulatory, or contractual requirements.

Email addresses may be retained until an individual unsubscribes or the information is no longer needed. SMS consent and opt-out records may be retained to document and honor communication preferences.

Information Security

Citrus Health Network uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, misuse, or destruction.

No electronic transmission or storage method is completely secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on applicable law and the type of information involved, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information by contacting Citrus Health Network.

A request may be limited when information must be retained for legal, regulatory, clinical, security, recordkeeping, or other permitted purposes.
