Our Story

Citrus Health Network, Inc. has been dedicated to serving the mental and behavioral health needs of individuals and families since 1979. Over the years, we have grown to become one of the largest providers in South Florida, offering a comprehensive range of services to both adults and children.

In 2004, we achieved a significant milestone by becoming a Federally Qualified Health Center. This expansion allowed us to not only provide behavioral health services but also offer primary health care, ensuring a holistic approach to our patient's well-being.

In 2019, Citrus became the Community Based Care Lead Agency for Child Welfare in Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties managing foster care and related services through its Citrus Family Care Network division.

At Citrus Health Network, we remain dedicated to our mission of delivering high-quality healthcare services to our community, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Our Mission

The Business of Helping People. A total wellness approach with each client, treating the body and mind. This approach to health care addresses the whole person by integrating behavioral health services and primary care and coordinating care across a broad range of health services and community-based programs.

Our Vision

At Citrus Health Network, Inc., we have a longstanding commitment to serving the South Florida community since our establishment in 1979. Our journey began as a federally funded community mental health center known as Northwest Dade C.M.H.C., but we quickly realized the importance of evolving into an organization with a broader scope and impact.

Recognizing that community needs and challenges evolve over time, we understand that new funding sources are often created through legislation to address emerging problems. We believe in actively engaging with community leaders, governmental agencies, grassroots organizations, and advocacy groups to tackle these issues head-on. By collaborating with diverse stakeholders during critical moments, we position ourselves as an organization that expands its mission and truly makes a difference.

Our unwavering focus remains on those in need and the most vulnerable members of our society. We diligently manage our resources, ensuring that we consistently deliver exceptional results and respond effectively to emerging areas of concern and opportunity. Citrus Health Network is not just a business enterprise; it is a force for positive change dedicated to assisting and uplifting the people of South Florida.

With our experienced team and robust infrastructure, we are driven by a shared vision to improve lives, enhance access to quality healthcare, and create a stronger, healthier community for all. Together, we are building a future where everyone has the support they need to thrive and achieve their fullest potential.
