Crisis Stabilization

Citrus Health Network is a crucial provider of emergency mental health services in Miami-Dade County. Our Crisis Stabilization Unit offers intensive short-term care to individuals in crisis, with the goal of stabilizing and guiding them toward the most suitable treatment setting.

Targeted Adult Case Management

Targeted Adult Case Management at Citrus provides ongoing support services for clients with serious and persistent mental illness. Case managers work with eligible clients to assess the client’s needs; develop, implement, and monitor a personalized plan of care that includes advocating for the client; coordinating services; and linking the client to resources available in the community.

Adult Residential Services

For clients experiencing a mental health crisis, who are in need of more intensive, longer-term treatment in a healing environment, Citrus has an adult inpatient residential program designed to provide stability and support services to create a safe transition to life in the community and ensure access to additional recovery resources upon discharge.

Adult Outpatient Services

With more than 100 licensed practitioners among its clinical staff, Citrus provides comprehensive outpatient services to diagnose and treat clients with mental and behavioral health conditions. Outpatient services include psychiatric evaluations, outpatient psychiatry and medication management, as well as individual, group and family therapy for adults and families.

Community Support & Day Treatment Services

For adult clients who are elderly, or disabled due to mental illness, and in need of assistance with independent living, Citrus provides psychosocial rehabilitation services in a day treatment setting focused on restorative activities and building skills for daily life and job readiness, when appropriate.

The Florida Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) Teams at Citrus assist adults with severe mental illness to live independently. Each client receives personalized care, including psychiatric services, medical care, life skills development, financial support, transportation, and family training as needed.

CHN is reviving its FACT Advisory Committee to provide feedback on behavioral health policies and services, promoting recovery and empowerment.

Adult Housing Programs

Citrus provides housing services for adults and families with disabilities, including those with chronic mental illness, co-occurring disorders, domestic violence victims, people living with HIV/AIDS, veterans, and the chronically homeless. Additionally, young adults aging out of foster care can also access housing and behavioral health services.

Citrus also offers Permanent Supportive Housing services for individuals and families with disabilities, veterans, and the chronically homeless. Clients receive housing at specific sites or rental assistance in the community, with the aim of achieving independent living through stable housing and additional support services like case management and psychiatric treatment.

The HOPE Program

The HOPE Program helps adults aged 18 and above with substance use disorders (SUD) achieve sobriety or reduce dependency on alcohol and drugs. It utilizes Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), combining medication and therapy for alcohol and opioid addiction. Qualified individuals receive assessments, outpatient psychiatry, treatment planning, group/individual therapy, nursing services, health education, service coordination, and primary care services.
