New Location in Partnership with FIU Embrace Program

Citrus Health Network’s newest location opened on January 13, 2020 in collaboration with the Florida International University Embrace Program. 

The Medical Center promotes health, wellness and overall functioning for adolescents and adults with developmental disabilities, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), intellectual disabilities (ID), and other neurodevelopmental disorders (OND). 

The Medical Center offers services as part of a comprehensive, integrated care model.  Services at the location include primary care, psychiatry, psychotherapy, and laboratory tests.

MIAMI, FLORIDA— Citrus Family Care Network is proud to announce that it has been selected as the Child Welfare Community Based Care (CBC) Lead Agency for the Southern Region by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF).

DCF contracts with CBC Lead Agencies across the state to provide child welfare services in their local communities for children who have been abused, neglected and/or abandoned.  The Southern Region includes Miami-Dade and Monroe Counties.

Citrus Family Care Network is a division of Citrus Health Network, a non-profit Federally Qualified Health Center that has been providing services to the child welfare population for more than 27 years. 

Florida Association for Infant Mental Health Names Citrus Administrator VP

Citrus Health Network Early Childhood Development Programs Administrator Jackie Romillo, LCSW, was named Vice President of the Florida Association for Infant Mental Health (FAIMH) Board of Directors.

Citrus Recognized as HRSA Health Center Quality Leader

The U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) recognized Citrus Health Network as a Health Center Quality Leader.  HRSA’s Quality Improvement Awards recognize the highest performing health centers nationwide as well as those that have made significant quality improvement gains from the previous year. 

State Rep Nick Duran Presents Check In Support of CHANCE Campus

Thank you to Florida State Representative Nick Duran who presented Citrus Health Network with a check from the State of Florida for $400,000 in support of the CHANCE Program Campus.  The funds will go towards the development of a campus to serve children and adolescents who survivors of human trafficking and commercial exploitation.   

  

Citrus Health Network Receives Accreditation for Child-Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship Program

Citrus Health Network, Inc. received program accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) to host a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship program in addition to their existing Adult Psychiatry Residency Program.

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship is a two-year program that will welcome four fellows per training year.  Citrus Health Network’s fellowship is one of only two ACGME-accredited Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship programs in South Florida.

Citrus Health Network welcomed State Senator Ileana Garcia on October 18, 2022 for a check presentation for an allocation of $2.5 million from the Florida Legislature for the initial development of a campus to serve Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) who are survivors of human trafficking.
