FAQ & How to Apply

FAQ’s:

Q: How many CAP fellow slots will be filled?

A: We will be recruiting 4 first year fellow positions. There are 4 CAP fellow slots per training year (8 total).

 

Q: Does your program offer internships or observerships prior to the start of Psychiatry Residency?

A: Currently, we do NOT offer internships or observerships

 

Q: Does your program use minimum scores or benchmarks to review applications?

A: All applications receive equal consideration.

 

Q: Will you program sponsor visas?

A: Visas will be considered on a case by case basis and applicable costs/fees will NOT be paid by Citrus Health Network

 

Q: When will interviews be held?

A:  For the 2019-2020 program year, applications will be received through ERAS. Interviews will be held between the end of September and mid December 2018. Interviews will be held in person. Dates to be disclosed at the time an interview is offered. You will have the opportunity to meet with the Program Director, faculty members and the Program Administrator.

Citrus Health Network offers a competitive salary of $60,000 annually with employee fringe benefits.  We welcome applications from both national and international medical graduates. To be eligible for our program, candidates must have either an MD or DO degree, and have three years of Adult Residency training in an ACGME-approved program.  The Program Director of the Adult Residency should provide written or electronic verification of previous educational experience and a summative competency-based performance evaluation.  Verification must include evaluation of professional integrity. Candidates should have passed the USMLE exam steps I, II and III, as well as the ECFMG exam (if an international graduate) before the interviews.  Candidates must meet the requirements established for licensure/permit as outlined by the Florida Board of Medicine.
